Not a lot of social activity really in 2003. I fairly regularly attend meetings of the local branch of the UK Austin Healey Club- the last Wednesday in each month along with a handful of regulars and others. A fairly low key and relaxed event- though I must admit to starting to run out of excuses for my lack of progress. Soon I'll be driven to resorting to pleading poverty and ineptitude....

The local members have been great. This group is one of the main reasons that attracted me to the Big Healey- they seemed a close-knit, enthusiastic and knowledgeable lot who'd had Healeys for years. They been very encouraging and even let me drive a selection of their cars. I bought one without ever having done so... its now very nice to know that I didn't make a mistake in my choice.

The club takes an annual tour of Scotland- "Chasing the Haggis", as it happens. Photos from 2003's event:

Er, no, nothing's wrong... it just needs to cool off a little....
