Photo: Resting at Rest & be Thankful

This was selected to be the February Photo for the 2009 BCF Calendar.

After a hiatus of a couple of years I finally got to go on the Austin-Healey Club's tour of the Highlands again. Despite not having my Big Healey up and running and the continued dis-assembly of my Jensen-Healey my Rochdale Olympic seemed healthy enough, and I could barely stretch the qualification by noting that it too had a BMC "A" engine as fitted to some of the later Sprites. But they've let MG and Jags come along in the past so qualifying wasn't that much of an issue- I had a Big Healey and was in the Club... and someone that had previously reserved a slot wasn't able to go: hence I got lucky and could join them all.

We were very fortunate and had excellent weather- it was as if the Highlands and Islands Tourist Board had ordered it especially for us and photographers to persuade people to come and visit...

Typical road hazard on Skye: Sheep wandering on the roads...

It was both not so bad as it looks and far worse. The leak was very easily fixed.

But it was petrol...
