This is a brief overview of the music videos in which Austin Healeys have played a role, and a list of the various movies in which they've been used. Unfortunately I cannot claim to have seen many of these. Where I have I've tried to comment on the type of Healey involved and the amount of exposure given it. In addition to these media Healeys also feature in some films of their own, and in a number of advertizements.

Click on the song Title to be taken to a YouTube copy of it:

Tears for Fears: Everyone Wants to Rule the World (1985).

Janet Jackson, with Salt 'n' Pepa: You Want This (1994).

Allure, with 112: All Cried Out (1997)-- unseen.

Janet Jackson: Someone to Call my Lover (2002)

New Kids on the Block - Summertime

Suggestions of other musician's work that might be displayed would be appreciated.

Movies

Healeys have proven to be popular with some film makers. A brief listing of some of the films in which they've appeared. Note, I've taken this from a variety of other sources and have only seen a handful myself. The presence of a Healey may not in itself make a film worth watching. Indeed, the few appearances of the Healey in the Royal Tennenbaums left me feeling decidedly short changed, given my lack of empathy for the rest of it- and a film like Bullitt might be so engrossing that the incidental appearances of Healey(s) are overlooked....

Other Film

In addition to the movies note above there are also a limited number of Healey films. These include the Healey restoration (Project Healey 3000) video, and "The Big Healey Experience" video. Suppliers include Duke and British Car Films. Brief reviews of both these videos may be found in the Books & References page on this site.

Advertisements

Not really what I'd consider film, video, music or entertainment generally, but advertisements have used various depictions of Austin Healeys from time to time. A collection of contemporary ads selling Healeys may be seen at: http://www.team.net/www/healey/autobila/ads.html, this does not include current ones that irregularly appear in which Healeys are incidental to the advertized products.
