This History section describes what I've been able to learn of the car's past. At this stage its history is pretty well known for a 45+ year old car that's had as many owners as this one has. I believe I have a full list of the previous owners from an old-style UK log book and copies of the registration documents for all the owners since the early 1980s. I'm friendly with Mr. Collins from whom I bought the car and have visited with him a few times since. And I've been able to contact the owner before the one that sold it to him.

Owner: James Wilson Location: Glasgow Information: The car was in quite good condition when I acquired it. It had been well restored, but was showing a little wear & tear- the seats needed recovering and replacing the headliner was required too. The fiberglass needed attention too- there were small cracks in it and some odd mottling of the surface. Despite that the paint still looked very nice. Mechanically the car seemed in great shape. |

Owner: Ron Collins Location: Edinburgh Information: Repainted Metallic Blue, Engine rebuilt, Interior redone. The car was more-or-less fully restored, with a great deal of attention devoted to its interior. Ron has since died I'm sorry to say. I visited him a couple of times and think he was pleased that it was being used to tour the country, and that it had stayed in Scotland. |

Location: Blackburn 14/11/1982: Engine Change to 1275 BMC "A", Color Change to Blue, at some time during this owner's possession he installed a rear hatch like the Phase II. |

Unspecified Date: Color Change to Red, not communicated to the DVLA. The car was apparently laid up for several years before its sale in 1982 to the next owner. |
