Not a lot of social activity really. I fairly regularly attend meetings of the local branch (Scottish Sub-Centre- for their web site) of the UK Austin Healey Club- the last Wednesday in each month along with a handful of regulars and others. Recent initiatives have increased the local activities to include visits to various car shows and a few day runs. This bodes well, and I hope that more to the Healey owners in Scotland become more active with the club. The meetings are fairly low key and relaxed events- though I must admit to starting to run out of excuses for my lack of progress. Soon I'll be driven to resorting to pleading poverty and ineptitude.... The local members have been great in letting me drive a selection of their cars. I bought one without ever having done so... its now very nice to know that I didn't make a mistake in my choice. The club takes an annual tour of Scotland- "Chasin' the Haggis", a non-competative and leisurely run on the back roads and byways of the Scottish Highlands.
